Amari Ice is a gay love coach, hypnotherapist, and matchmaker who helps single men master their romantic magic by developing their dating skills, healing subconscious patterns of self-sabotage, and enhancing their romantic magnetism so that love becomes inevitable. He's the first Black, gay, certified matchmaker in the entire love industry and has helped over 1,000 men achieve emotionally intelligent results in love and life through his courses and international best-selling books.

CHALLENGE

We were tasked with branding the Love Alchemy segment within the Amari Means Love organization. Amari Means Love had been a force in the matchmaking world for years but needed a refined strategy and look to reflect its growth and brand positioning. We needed to elevate the look without losing the magic.

APPROACH

Amari Means Love participated in our Brand Strategy + Identity Intensive, where we worked closely to develop an adaptable strategy. With that strategy, we were able to rework elements of the existing brand into an updated design language and visual asset package. We initially started with a crystalline butterfly as it's a very clear symbol of beautiful transformation through ugly work, similar to the process of unlearning behaviors and thought patterns to become the best version of yourself for yourself and potential partners. We ultimately built around the heart from the original logo but kept the crystalline approach as a nod to alchemy and the occult.
