The Purple Aisle
The Purple Aisle is a nonpartisan civic leadership accelerator where Millennials from all parties come to advance political theories and collaborate on policies, programs, and civic technologies. The organization works in lab-style environments that integrate innovation and rapid-problem solving into political thought leadership. It’s a space designed for those ready to move past partisan gridlock and advance tangible solutions for their communities.

The Challenge
When The Purple Aisle first approached us, they had a logo but lacked a unified brand identity. Their work was sophisticated and fast-paced, but they didn’t have the visual tools to communicate that professionalism across their various initiatives. They needed a design language that could scale with them as they launched various popup labs and interactive solutions. Our task was to create a comprehensive ecosystem around their existing mark that felt like a permanent civic fixture — something built by the people, for the people.
The Result
The result is a brand that functions as efficiently as the labs it proctors. By creating a flexible and authoritative visual system, we delivered:
- A Unified Visual Language: A consistent aesthetic across digital and print that commands respect in both tech and political circles.
- Operational Agility: A library of reusable assets that allows The Purple Aisle to produce professional, high-impact reports and presentations at the speed of the news cycle.
- Integrated Tech Solutions: A custom web app that turned their popup labs into branded, interactive experiences.
Color as Character
Our partnership began with establishing a consistent design language. Because the name itself is a nod to the blending of and reaching across red and blue political parties, we leaned into purple as a symbol of the synthesis and collaboration at the heart of their mission.

Infrastructure + Agility
We moved quickly to build out the brand’s infrastructure, creating a suite of reusable templates, reports, and one-pagers that allowed their team to move with agility. The centerpiece of this phase was a comprehensive Pitch Book — a high-stakes document designed to solidify their presence and secure the support of major stakeholders. Beyond static design, we developed an interactive web app for their popup lab solutions, bridging the gap between traditional political organizing and modern digital experience. This successful integration of strategy and execution led our relationship to evolve into w7th becoming The Purple Aisle’s studio of record.
