CHALLENGE

We were challenged to help develop a distinctive brand that would reflect the values of the production studio and its management. We worked together to establish the brand’s visual identity, as well as its voice and tone.

APPROACH

We worked with Norihc Blue to develop a solid, yet adaptable brand strategy, design language that embodied the studio and reflected its communication style, and preliminary visual assets. We were inspired by Yemọja — the Mother of All in the Yoruba faith, Ifa — and brought her to life in the primary logo. The remaining brand assets drew inspiration from her dominion over water, and water’s natural motion and movement.

The Living Ocean. Inspired by Yemoja, the Mother of All in the Yoruba faith, Ifa. Like the seas, she is deep and unknowable, yet caring and nurturing—seeking to cleanse our sorrows and evoke healing. Healing comes by recognition of the stories that brought us to this point. So very fitting for an exploration of the human condition.
