Workplace Giving Initiative

Our decade long campaign, BRTRCares helps our employees connect with over 300 charities, similar to the government’s Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) by pledging donations through payroll deduction. It’s an easy way for employees to give in a small biweekly amount to the charity of their choice over the year. The program provides a steady, reliable, year-round income source for charities to deliver their programs and services to local and nationwide communities.

Wellness Campaign

We strive for a holistic approach to mind, body, and soul with our annual corporate-wide TEAM BRTRC Summer Wellness campaign. Physical fitness is important to overall health, but we support and embrace all levels of wellness. It might be a Summer Walking Challenge or tracking your volunteerism efforts or participation in community events, no matter how big or small the activity, BRTRC wants to champion our employees to support positive initiatives.

Westlawn School Partnership

BRTRC has partnered with Westlawn Elementary, a Fairfax County Public School in Falls Church since 2000. This partnership offers volunteer opportunities for employees throughout the year to support students and teachers of Westlawn.

BRTRC sponsors several events throughout the school year to include:

  • Student-artists visit HQ-Tysons to present FCPS curriculum based artwork for our partnership gallery and visit the graphics department to see art in the workplace.
  • Winners from the annual sponsored holiday card contest are included in the BRTRC holiday card design sent to over 2000 recipients.
  • Team BRTRC volunteers support Westlawn leadership to evaluate the 6th Grade Essay Contest, winners announced by Christine Villa, CTO at the 6th Grade End of Year Celebration.
Army 10 Miler

TEAM BRTRC and our runners support the Army’s annual ten-mile race held each October in Washington, D.C. The event attracts over 35,000 runners from around the world; the Army Ten-Miler exemplifies the Spirit fo the Sport and the Spirit of a Nation. Participants include military, civilians, wheelchair athletes, and wounded warrior athletes. All race proceeds benefit the U.S. Army Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs.

EAP

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides confidential consultations regarding both work and personal difficulties from interpersonal challenges to finances, parenting, and health issues. The EAP provides 24/7 access to professionals with the knowledge and expertise to provide employees with sound advice and reliable strategies.
